A high-level group from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Education, and the Education, Human Development, and Community Council has finished an official visit to China. Hajar Ahmed Al Thehli, the Secretary General of the Council, led the UAE Delegation. The UAE Embassy in Beijing and the UAE Consulate in Shanghai worked together to plan the trip.
The visit shows how the relationship between China and the United Arab Emirates
is getting stronger. In the last few years, the two countries have worked
together more in areas like education, technology, the economy, energy,
investment, culture, and scientific research. The most recent visit builds on
this momentum and prepares the way for more strategic partnerships in the years
to come.
During the visit, the UAE Delegation had a number of official and field meetings
with high-ranking officials from Chinese government agencies, top universities,
and specialized research institutes. The goal of these meetings was to improve
cooperation in building better educational systems, encourage the sharing of
knowledge, and help people learn skills that will be useful in the future. Both
sides also looked into chances that could be built on in the next phase of
working together.
The group talked with people from the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission
and the Chinese Ministry of Education. There were also meetings with groups
that work on family issues, women's empowerment, and caring for people with
disabilities. During these talks, both sides talked about national policies
that help with family support, child protection, community development, and
education quality. We also looked at ways to work together on things that we
both care about.
A big part of the visit was looking at advanced Chinese models of education.
Delegates went to some of the most famous schools, such as Peking University,
Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and East China Normal
University. They also went to the Fangzhuang Model Kindergarten, the Beijing
101 School, and the Shanghai Experimental School. These trips to the field gave
us a full picture of new ways of teaching in China. The group looked into
programs for gifted students, integrated curriculum models, ways to prepare and
develop teachers, and ways to test students.
The main reason for the visit was to talk about how AI is used in schools.
Delegates learned about the newest uses of AI in adaptive learning, educational
data analysis, and smart assessment systems. They looked at algorithm-based
models that help with learning and make it easier to learn. The visit also
sparked new ideas for working together on making smart educational tools and
doing research in AI. Both sides talked about ways to work together that would
help the education systems in the UAE and China and improve the skills of
schools, teachers, and universities in areas related to advanced educational
technology.
Another great thing was meeting Emirati students who are studying at Chinese
universities. Hajar Al Thehli heard about their school experiences and what
they wanted to do in the future. She said again that the UAE is committed to
helping its scholarship students and pushing them to learn skills and knowledge
from around the world that will help the country.
Al Thehli said that the visit opened up new opportunities for the UAE and China
to work together in education, scientific research, and new ideas. She went on
to say that the models and experiences that were looked at during the visit
will help the UAE as it works to build an advanced education system based on
innovation, empowering teachers, strong scientific research, and using new
technologies in the classroom.
At the end of the visit, the UAE group asked a number of Chinese schools and
research centers to come to the UAE soon. The goal is to continue looking for
ways to work together and create joint programs in areas like education, AI,
teacher training, curriculum development, scientific research, and academic
exchange. The invitation also talked about working together on family issues,
community development, and women's empowerment. This is another step forward in
the growing partnership between the UAE and China.
