Key Background :
Hyundai has been supporting community and education programs rapidly throughout Coastal Georgia through its Hyundai Hope corporate social responsibility program. The program focuses on education, health, safety, and sustainability and is designed to create stronger communities and prepare students for careers.
Hyundai Hydrogen RC Program offers high school students direct experience in engineering and renewable energy principles and opportunity to design remote-control cars that use hydrogen fuel. The program aims to stimulate scientific curiosity, collaboration, and technical expertise in the students, most specifically in science and technology.
This alignment with the SAE Foundation through the AWIM program also promotes student interest in STEM classes. AWIM applies inquiry-based, real-world learning experiences to instill problem-solving and critical thinking skills in PreK-12 students and ready them for the application of what they learned in class to solve real-world problems.
In addition to desk-and-briefcase STEM courses, Hyundai also has its memberships with the Georgia Historical Society and Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity. These memberships assist with local education and home-building programs, evidence of the broader interest of Hyundai in community development.
With HMGMA, Hyundai’s first dedicated electric vehicle plant in the region, the company reinforces its responsibility to support local initiatives that positively impact the community. By investing in education and sustainable development, Hyundai seeks to build a skilled workforce while contributing to the long-term growth and prosperity of Coastal Georgia.
