The other significant part of the Hyundai STEM education initiative is the partnership with SAE Foundation via the A World In Motion program. This curriculum extends from pre-kindergarten to the 12 th grade and focuses on hands-on, inquiry-based learning.

In Alabama, there have been programs like the Gravity Cruiser Challenge, which involve approximately 1000 sixth-grade students in designing their own vehicles that have gravity as a source of power. In Georgia, the Skimmer Challenge is an initiative that exposes more than 800 4th-grade students to such concepts as surface area using fan-powered sailboats.

Younger learners in Michigan take part in exercises such as the Straw Rockets Challenge and the Rolling Things Challenge, which involve learning the fundamentals of engineering in interactive forms.

Studies indicate that enrollment in such programs enhances the student interest in engineering professions in a positive manner, with awareness and participation escalating up to 80 percent.
