The 2025 HP Futures Report has told Nigeria and other governments around the world to adopt a Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education Charter that would make sure AI is used in classrooms in a responsible and ethical way.

The Global Learning Council, T4 Education, and HP worked together to create the report. It included ideas from 100 experts in education, technology, and policy from around the world. It calls for a set of rules that will protect data privacy, ethical standards, and the safe use of AI tools in schools.

The report says that companies that sell AI-powered educational technologies would have to show that they follow data privacy rules, protect the ownership of learner data, and keep the environment safe. It also says that minors should be protected and that AI should not be used in education in ways that are unfair or exploitative.

The report is based on a survey of 2,860 students from 21 countries. It shows that more than 60% of students use AI tools every day for schoolwork, and 71% think that AI's abilities should be limited in schools to stop people from abusing them.

The results will be shared with education ministers from around the world at the World Schools Summit, which will take place in Abu Dhabi on November 15 and 16, 2025. The authors of the report are asking policymakers to make sure that AI is used responsibly and fairly in schools so that students are better prepared for the changing job market.

HP and its partners want to create a global charter to strike a balance between technological progress and ethical governance. This will make sure that AI is used to empower people, not exploit them, in schools around the world.
